Day by Day was written for the Godspell musical which debuted on Broadway in 1971. Originally sung and recorded as an independent song by the New Seekers, it was later included in the Fire and Rain Medley and though Peter Doyle sang it this way with the group, the recordings which included it as part of the medley were made after he left. |
